Recovery Garden*

Natural paving materials were used on the site – eco-friendly gabbro granite for the stepping stones, larch deck walkways and granite chippings.

The garden’s main element is a pond with a large water surface that mirrors the entire surrounding landscape. In the evening, thanks to the lighting, the water can take on every possible color, creating different moods.

One could talk about the garden’s details for a long time: decorative raised beds drowning in flowers, “architectural” horsetail integrated into the terrace, a bridge across the pond, accent lighting of the flower beds and plant crowns, lighting that makes the steps appear to float, decorative boulders of shungite and basalt, and much more…

The plot is divided into two levels. The change in level runs along the facade of the building facing the pond. This further opens up the panorama from the terrace by the house onto the lower part of the site with the pond. All zones are delineated by the clear geometry of paths and flower beds, which soften the strict lines. Dividing the plot into many segments made it possible to visually enlarge it.
